Who Am I

Striving for Better Code

There is no good code, there is no bad code. There is only self-improvement and innovation. I am not one who is set in my ways, I will always strive for better and more effecient systems, technology, and code.

Currently, I am a Software Developer with extensive enterprise experience with the Internet of Things, Chat Bots and Backend Web Services. I am involved with everything from architecture, design, development and implementation.

Chief Technology Office - Internet of Things Team

  • Heavy developer for “Chat Bot”, built using Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Service, Amazon Skills Kit, and the associated web services. i.e Node.js, python, Cloud Functions, and api integrations.
  • Engineered and built initial hardware prototypes for hardware based I.O.T Projects.
  • Microservice and Integration Developer for Enterprise I.O.T Solutions, ie. notification services, Facebook Workplace/Box integrations, and database api’s.
  • Designed and built multiple architectures for IOT data ingestion. Architectures includes IOT data storage solutions, near real time application consumption of IOT data, and management for various devices and brands. Data pipeline uses various cloud Google Cloud Platform services, including IOT Core, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Big Table, Datastore, BiqQuery and App Engine.
  • Developed Box Cloud Storage Application to facilitate user activity logging and reporting using Cloudfoundry, Python, Flask, Redis, and Celery.
  • Mentor and foster technical skill of junior members.

Kaiser Permanente - Technical Associate

Cross functional roll which allowed me to be on different teams for a number of projects, to help provide support based on project requirements.

  • End Point Strategy - Clinical Field Test Team
    Designed and delivered a text message Chat Bot to assess the viability of Chat Bots in the medical space, using Cloudfoundry, Node.js and Twilio.
  • Platform As A Service - CloudFoundry Operations
    Engineered key aspects of the Cloudfoundry implementations. i.e Designed and built Splunk Integrations, Designed the system architecture for “Integration Platform as a Service”, and did operations for CloudFoundry.
  • Data Center Network Engineering
    Designed and delivered automated scripts in python to generate standard configurations for Cisco enterprise switches.
  • Enterprise Environment Services - Splunk Engineering and Operation
    Produced bash scripts for reporting, alerts, and automations for the Splunk Linux Environments and worked on server builds for Splunk clusters builds.
